I think I broke my body.

three days of non stop skiing. twas fun :D I thoroughly enjoyed myself and going from nonexistent "skier" to (somewhat) parallel skiing in three short days was actually quite surprising. who knew i had it in me? thanks for teaching me H!! (hmm if he even bothers to visit my blog..pfft..blah :) was very pretty up there, better if there had been more snow - was kinda slushy, and brown. oh yea, so, broken body: needless to say i was a little sore after all this and while ive never dislocated my shoulder, the current sounds emanating from it now when i move suggests otherwise. eh, still functional so it's all good; will look into it further if it still hasnt fully "healed" after the break. oh yea! and the bruise on my knee is an absolutely lovely shade of magenta. im still wondering how i managed to fall on the inner side of my knee...it's kind of a weird angle, funny thing is, i must have fallen on it (the EXACT spot) twice cuz the colour became more brilliant on the second day when it should have subsided. im quite proud of my "art" actually ;D. now, barring any further, future mishaps it SHOULD fade away...sometime.

*oh yeah, one more thing. i liked H's doggy. winchy (sp?) was CUTE. so quiet!! can i keep him?*

Xmas
did NOTHING. as per tradition, went over to aunts place and had xmas dinner. did the whole turkey thing and stuffed my face like a hamster. heh..funny. watched tv, parts/bits and pieces of What a Girl Wants "starring" the ever slappable amanda bynes. shes 16 looking like 20, holy COW. "Like OMG, colin firth's talent was like totally wasted playing my dad" - ick. your basic cookie -cutter, teeny-bopper flick.

BOXING DAY!!
yea so rumor was that i'd get up at 9am and hit the malls...with Li and marge. UNFORTUNATELY..that never happened. night before there were talks of going with family to: downtown, cookstown, hwy 400 + 7, and the usual STC, Markville, fairview, yorkdale.
nothing happened. woke up at 10am today. jabbed at my sister to wake her up and both us hit STC. close to half an hour trying to find a damn parking spot. and frickn damn bastard stole it from me!! so close..so close! waht a jerk. kept pointing at himself, the space and shaking his head. the fuck and then as soon as the car pulled out, he shot into the spot. fucking asshole.
yea, no mercy from then on: jerks trying to get in front of me in lines were sent to the back. "oh are you waiting here? yeah? the line starts all the way BACK THERE." blurry bastards.
aaaaaaaaaaaaanyways, GUESS had a huge sale - as was evident with the MASSIVE amounts of people lining outside teh store and for the cashier. while we didnt have to line up getting in, i had to wait bout 1.5 hrs in line to pay. was INSANE. but anyways, got jacket. oh so pretty :D
also got Josh Groban's new cd + DVD so happy about that too!

New Years:
going to Niagra falls! with some archery buddies of mine ive not seen since forever till i bumped into them today at STC. so, this year should be interesting..looking forward to it.

Ian McKellen's site. it's very cool but so messy. have fun trying to get around haha. but tis very cool. lotta behind the scenes stuff(pix, etc) so go check it out!

*oh yea. did you know McD's has Fruitopia now? very strawberry, very syropy, so sweet...wait, i have nothing against that. i think i'll send my dentist an empty cheque now ;)

THE RETURN OF THE KING ROCKED!!!

for those who havnt seen it yet, i HIGHLY suggest you drive recklessly to your nearby theatre and WATCH IT! this is my fav. one out of the three and it has to be experienced at least once on the big screen and oh-so-yummy surround sound ;)
so if youve not seen the first 2, spend 6 hrs in a potato-like state in front of your tv to watch the movies, then high-tail it to the theatres !! IT'S SO GOOD!!!
(and Legolas definately redeems himself - like, you know, from the crappy one-liners he gets thru-out the movie(s) ;)
-oh yea, one more thing...who ever stuck that movie ticket with the words "legolas sucks" is SO going down. oh you know who you are (even if i dont yet)! i'll need a sample of everyone's handwriting please..

gifts: STC is PACKED full of people! GL trying to find a parking space, it's nuts in there. damn little kids/ preteens, shouldnt they be off somewhere learning how to shoot up? blah

and who's BRIGHT idea was it to make mini skirts fashionable in the middle of winter??!!!

anyhoo, am up at...somewhere up north for the next 3 days falling/tumbling/hurling/pitching down a mountain - also known as skiing. and if im really ambitious, i'll strap both my legs to a BOARD and..well, you know. it IS afterall, a way of getting down the mountain so it's all good ;D

mmmmmmmmm............ LOTR..........ROTK........mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

DONE!!! ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH IT FEELS SO GOOD, OH!
Yea..i mean, i did horribly on micro econ..but it looks as if everyone else did so too! goodness, there were lots of 'em that walked out within the first hour - and it was a three hour long exam!!! crap it was long. anyways, s'all over now so whatever happens, will happen. hope they pass me :s

onto more important matters:
NEED TO BUY XMAS PRESENTS. havnt done ANY shopping yet and felt so bad when all of my housemates got presents for me (and each other) and i got them...nada. ick. well, least i wont miss their bdays :D
So many people, so little time. least it's an excuse to go shopping! yeaaa

nothing much else. post exam "par-tay" lead us to the Pita Pit. haha. eh well, wasnt in the mood to drink anyways..pita was good. will go there more often seeing as how i live so close to it.

in honour of the LOTR: ROTK mass viewing we're doing this friday (dec 19!!!):

adults might just accept that, I know

Am COMPLETLEY freaked outta my mind. Econ Math exam tmr @ 9am, worth? 60%.
Remeber those good old days in high school when youd freak over exams (namely Physics, all math courses) that were worth 35%-40%? ahh those were the days.
To show you how much my perception on marks have changed: i couldnt care LESS about my exam that was worth 35%....granted it was "intro to business", and that it was easy, and that the midterm was stupid (and easy)...so i just didnt care. prolly shouldve just a bit more.
Eh, like it wouldve made a difference anyways cuz despite the fact that i was mad scribbling the ENTIRE time during my 2 hr exam..i still didnt manage to finish the damn thing. so close. SO close! frickn prof..the hell. another half hour wouldve made SOOO MANY people happy. and it was just OUR CLASS in the examining rooms too!! blah. I'd be more pissed off if he wasnt such a nice prof ~ as in, he listen to this [one] whiny girl in our class prattle on [and on..and on..and on..] on some random tangent for a good 10-15 min before he'd say "ya, we should really be moving on now". well duh, shoulda cut her off before she even started. s'all over now.

onwards to math. and then it'll be all over (by noon tmr) too [in every sense of the word]

*update

for once in all the time that ive been here...my room is slightly ...less than clean. that is, i have looseleaf paper EVERYWHERE and various textbooks lying in various corners of my room, coupled with newspapers and magazines, this looks like the beginning of a fantastic mess :D

Wednesday, December 10, 2003

i want a chatterbox...i'll prolly nvr study and check it every two seconds

studying at INDIGO is fun :D
although was TERRIBLY productive since i only covered about 2.5 chapters in a span of 4+ hrs. oh well, better than no work at all....gonna have to study for exam tmr. havnt started yet but..gimmie a break, its so stupid and only worth 35% (as opposed to 60% for stupid math on a stupid Sat. morning at stupid 9-frickn'-AM)

bought a HUGE bag of DOUBLE BUBBLE at A&P today. working thru it slowly...chewing it like a cow does hay - well, not quite...mmm cud.

spent about two hours just now making/eating dinner. chicken wings were GOOD. gonna make more of that next term. Li made croissants. looked thru the two magazines we have around the house: glamour and cosmopolitan....gah! feel. dirrrty. all. over. ick ick. so much stress over sex.........i seriously dont understand the fixation. eh in anycase..

stupid prof still hasnt replied to my email...well, exam is saturday so a lil more time. but still!

should study now. shower first. "tv" before that first.
(i wonder if i'll have to retake one of my courses.....that means im gonna fail, yes thats right)

current playlist:

Billy Talent: Try Honesty
Phantom of the Opera (Techno Dance Mix) ~ haha yea, dance mix
Moulin Rouge: elephant love song, your song, come what may
Whitney Houston: greatest love of all, one moment in time, run to you

interesting..

You are naturally born with a gift, whether it be

creativity, and usually are highly intelligent.

also bold since you hold firm in your beliefs.

How appropriate that this came right after my exam. how much does it describe YOU? ...ive highlighted mine..

25 WAYS TO TELL THAT THE SEMESTER IS DRAGGIN' ON TOO
LONG!

1. Shaving becomes more and more optional by the day.

2. You get more sleep in class than you do in your bed.

3. You can no longer distinguish your bank balance from your GPA.

4. You actually think, "If I were diagnosed with Pneumonia, I could get a doctor's note excusing me from
finals!"

5. You can't say the word "Lab" without qualifying it
with some kind of profanity

6. You spend more time calculating the lowest possible
mark you can afford to get on your final exam than you
spend studying for it.

7. You only wash dirty dishes when they outweigh you.

8. The tomatoes in your fridge have become sentiment.

9. The first thought you have when you wake up is "20
more hours and I can go back to sleep!"

10. MasterCard is now master over you!

11. You forget to pay rent, hydro and phone bills. But
you'll do anything to ensure cable isn't disconnected. ~ internet cable that is

12. Your concept of cleaning the toilet is "Aim for the
stain"!

13. Those "Train At Home For A Better Career"
commercials seem like a viable alternative to your
course of study.

14. Being a stand up Comedian seems like a viable
alternative to your course of study.

15. Being a Professional wrestler seems like a viable
alternative to your course of study.

~ something like that. a bum on the streets is good too

16. Your IQ exceeds your body weight. But you're just
as stupid as you've always been.

17. "Tearing your hair out" used to be a figure of
speech.

18. Just about anything constitutes a healthy meal
provided that you drink it with milk.

19. You are briefly convinced that your inability to
get dates is actually a blessing because you don't have
time for it.

20. 3 [healthy] meals in one day is special occasion. ~ or when i go home, when my parents visit..

21. You memorize acronyms you learned in class and use
them regularly. But have no idea what they mean.

22. You can't remember a concept you learned last
semester, but you can quote word-for-word an episode of
the Simpsons you saw two years ago. ~ and Scrubs, W&G, GG

23. "Catching the news" means watching Sportsdesk while
eating breakfast.

24. The only thing that keeps you from causing your
roommate serious physical harm is the fact that the
Hydro is in his name.

25. Lists like this actually describe your life. ~ so sad...

Yuck. how well i did completely depends on what i got for my last assignment..which stupidness, i thought my partner got it back but she didnt so its still at the distribution place and here i am not knowing what mark i went into that stupid exam with (well almost..guestimate). Yuck

shifting gears into psyc now. 9AM!!! AM!! those bastards...........

Econ prof is SO nice. I should have really used him more often during the term for assignments and whatnot..but of course i didnt, so stupid me.
There are TWO exams that i have to study for this upcoming wed and thurs, now there was also an assignment due wed and theres just no way i can finish it and study for two exams at the same time, so i went to talk to the prof and he extended it for ME till fri. thats just NICE. :D
he seems also to have a fascination with chinese people/culture. i gave him my name (obviously) and he immediately started asking me if i knew the origin of my last name, where this village was (that my name was derived from)..yada yada..and even more interesting was that he knew where Gong Zhou was in china...maybe he visits tehre a lot. anyhoo...twas all very amusing for me

it's all about psyc today! back to work.........

oh ya. i sent this to a lot of people already but who cares, here it is again:

RESIGNATION:

I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult.
I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again.

I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant.
I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and play doctors and nurses with my friends on a hot summer's day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple;
When all I knew were colours, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, and it didn't bother me, because I didn't know what I didn't know and I didn't care.

All I knew was to be happy because I was blissfully unaware of all the things that should make me worry or upset.
I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good.

I want to believe that anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.
I want to live simply again.

I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.

So . . . here's my cheque book and my car-keys, my credit card bills and my mobile phone.
I am officially resigning from adulthood.
And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first, cause...

......."Tag! You're it."

Friday, November 28, 2003

such a miserable, miserable day today. rainy, windy, dark and grey, sad and depressing.

it fits my mood...almost.

stupid rain is not only pouring down outside, but INSIDE too. some genius decided to put holes on the top of the window frame so now, instead of flowing down on the OUTSIDE of the pane of glass...i have it coming down on the inside. if that rag gets soaked...i'll have the water coming down and ruining my puter and printer. fantastic. BRING IT.

it's my turn to be alone this weekend as both Li and Ly have gone home for the weekend ::sob:: ;). but it's so boring now, no more sudden kicking open the doors as a greeting, no one to bug when im tired of watching Scrubs, W&G, or GG and have finished stuffing my face for the umpteenth time of the day. blah..nothing to do but work on my assignment and study for my exams. pompous prof made our exam during our reading week..same day as the due date for one of my other assignments. thank you SO much.

Li and I stayed up yesterday night/this morning. not having pulled an all-nighter before, she was quite proud to have lasted till 7AM today :) she finished off her essay, packed, and we finally crashed after an episode of Scrubs. i think the GIANT cup of almond-sesame bubble tea helped..but you still need the will to stay up!! no sleep for you! you have to have pulled an all nighter SOMETIME during your U career - that's just expected, and not doing so is just DISGRACEFUL. slept till 12:30 today~ wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (5.5 hrs of sleep is EXCELLENT)

*and we come up with the STUPID-EST things when we're high on sugar ...........................................we came up with a "handshake" for ourselves. we've been working on it for QUITE some time now so it's just ^KEWL^ (ahhh we're so yellow)*

LOOMING pile of notes to organize, assignment to complete, 10 chapters + appendices + lect. notes of PSYCH! to review, unscramble pompous prof's HANDWRITTEN lect. "notes" for exam prep. GICK.
ummmmmmm...later

I wonder if mummers and C are coming out to visit me this sunday? that'll be fun..a legitimate excuse to slack off :D

last day of classes for this term! it certainly doesnt feel like a friday..more like a saturday - possibly cuz i didnt attend my last class..but see, im not even sure if there was one..perhaps it ended tues. well i wouldnt know cuz i didnt attend that one either.
feels like i got nothing accomplished this term..schools over and what did i learn?? seems like nothing.

songs of late:
Sarah Mclachlan - The rainbow connection
Jason Mraz - sleep all day
(from) Kill Bill - without honour or humanity
CA- Get mine, get yours [it's catchy!! leave me alone :P]

Went to see the MATRIX yesterday: opening day.

Neo is the same as all super heros combined into one. of course, he was so in the previous two movies but well, it took me till now to realize it for some reason. in anycase, good luck trying to top his character. in terms of the movie, its nothing we weren't expecting..the fight scenes were cool, some more drawn out than others, some with more slow-motion action than could be tolerated, and *

STOP READING NOW if you dont want me to ruin the movie for you (skip to "@_@"):
Rant or something like it

sure the movie(s) had biblical contents (ie Neo as their saviour) but while the other two were just action movies, this one actually felt more.....religious? Especially in the end when he was killed and light burst thru him in the shape of a cross. almost like saying: "aha! we tricked you! you just watched a religious movie!" - although i have nothing against that, its just what it felt like.
it is still a good movie but im not sure if im just confusing myself. what if: i like it only because it's part of "the matrix" trilogy and since i liked the first two, i like this too? that is, if this were a movie in and of itself, would i have just said "eh" if asked on whether i like it or not? ya i duno. cool effects nonetheless...
it is a depressing movie. he died (or did he..??) to save his people so when this peace is broken (as it was alluded to) whatll happen then? the chain of the Neo's have been broken which means theres no one left cept Morpheus. basically then, lifekind is SCREWED when the machines decide to start again. yeaa.... Good Luck.
they got rid of hte TWINS!! that sucks, they were great! the sneering, leering, and calm sarcastic nature. ah too bad, they were liked
the ending suggests that another movie will be along soon. like a Star Wars thing. Liane suggested a Prequel which seems to make sense. well, its something to look forward to i suppose.
* Trinity should have died faster, he does have to save the world you know

@_@

after the movie, Liane, Em, Marge and I went to Shoppers. it was such a girl outing :) facial products, nail polish, and so on..haha. and hour was spent there and it passed by pretty quickly too. ooooooo shiny nails ;)
i slept at 2am after watching part of Matrix II again with liane. factor in the fact that i didnt sleep the night before and it ended in me skipping two classes while sleeping in to 2.30pm today. so dammit, sleep does catch up with you. funny how it worked out too. I was supposed to wake up two people today at 7.45AM, well i finally woke up at 8.15 so that wasnt too bad. but after i called them, i figured "lets sleep for 10 min"...............................i got up (first time around) at 11. went to liane's room, chatted, came back and lied in bed again figuring i'll take a shower in 10 min or so........................came to at 2.30pm. The day passed by pretty quickly for me ;)

I'm going back to TO this weekend *i miss my mommy*(and vice versa)
so will pick up stuff: food (myself and housemates), CD/MP3 playa (hopefully??), blank CDs to burn burn burn!!
will also try to get together with some friends ive neglected for FAR too long...and theyre still hanging around [me]
will download a CRAPLOAD of songs so i wont be bored on the tricolour bus to and from TO!

Currently~

Song: Josh Groban "You raise me up"
TLC " I'm good at being bad" -- "...ya you must be crazy. watcha gonna do with a bitch like me? ..."

Consuming: TOO MUCH candy (post halloween candy)...candy sticks, mars bars, hershey cookies and cream, etc.

Addictions: Labello (yes the chapstick), downloading Will and Grace, Scrubs, Gilmore Girls and KILLING our downloading/uploading limit (mmmmmmm Pirates of the Carribean ;)

PISSED OFF: stupid Backblog is giving me attitude so my comments arent working! gah!!!

Tuesday, November 4, 2003

JOSH GROBAN has a new CD!
awesome!! i want it. he sings classical bordering on pop. well, sounds very much popish. but still has a kick ass voice :D
added clicky thingy at the side bar. go listen - it's his old cd's but you can access his new song on his website. oh tis good. tis very good. "You raise me up" is excellent.
why are you still here??! go go GO :D

mmmmmmmmm $20 HMV gift certificate will come in handy.
CRAPPITYHELLDAMNFART! (<--lydia's word)
my comments are down! now i have to WAIT for the system to fix itself cuz ITS NOTHING THAT I DID/DIDNT DO. well great thats frickn' fantastic.
"What CHU doin'?"

AHA!! my word is SPREADING!!!!!!!!! eeeeeeeeee exciting :D
"chu"..ah my brilliance, and well partially, my laziness to spend just a few more letters and type out "are you".

and on a totally different topic:
check out the Methods section
well i know the guys who made it so thats why i know about it but..well, its still great. (no, im not morbid! and no obsession with different torture methods either! hehehe..i mean, no)

Old Hallow's Eve
I did something charitable this year instead of getting candy to stuff myself with: went around from house to house collecting food items for the food bank! it was fun with liane and lydia. I was gonna dress up as a slutty vampire but well, they ran out of teeth at the shopping center dagnabit. ah well, next yr..

yesterday night was fun. spur of the moment, non-planned activities are FUN :D
mike msged me and said he was bored. so was i. so we decided to hit the QP. a bunch of other ppl came too........then afterwards, an hour b4 last call, we went to the Peel Pub. oooooooooooo twas funky. i like it...good atmosphere, cheap drinks. yum
oh speaking of drinks: "Bailey's on Ice". WTF is that??? geez, its like ONE shot in half a glass of ice and charged 5 bux!! dammit! never again. mm need baileys, so good and i'll make my own damn "DRINK"! stupidness
also, went to A&P at 3AM. shall go again sometime soon - in various states of drunkeness - cuz the security guard follows us around. it was hilarious. we were "up to no good" apparently, else why would he follow us around. must be the GPAs - trouble they are.

anyways,
current winamp skin
its pretty and small and totally customizable.
(yes i get distracted by shiny things and this has 15 variations of shininess to get distracted by)

will go see MATRIX REVOLUTIONS on WEDNESDAY!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOO!
mass viewing?? hell yah!well, we'll attempt in any case

OUR LADY PEACE CDs!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Went to the Cat. centre (the "biggest" mall, here in kingston) saturday with liane and lydia and got CDs :D Sunrise records were doing a sale whereby you can get two cds for 20 bux. what a deal. so i got two of OLP cds that ive been eyeing for quite some time now but nvr wanted to fork over 17 bux. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! SO HAPPY! got both of the ones that i wanted: CLUMSY and HAPPINESS IS NOT A FISH YOU CAN CATCH. good, solid, angry music. ::thumbs-up sign:: oh yeah baby.

am feeling some pent up anger these days. im not sure what is causing it. it tends to come and go. you'll be happy to know that it GOES when im around ppl but when im alone...it builds up again. i duno what it is, a mixture of different things i suppose...or could very well have started because ive done poorly in midterms. but then, i havnt gotten them back yet. so who knows

have d/l-ed the merriam webster toolbar it is SO useful. i love it. of course, it could be cuz i go to their page several times a day to look up words. but it's still very handy to have and very minimal hassle in terms of the installing and whatnot. i highly recommend it. sayz it has problems with the google toolbar if you have it but i dont so..if you do, sux to be you.

oh ya, went to see Kill Bill . oh so satisfyingly gory. it's a little odd and excessively violent but only if youve never seen a Quentin Tarantino film (Pulp fiction), otherwise...meh
it got so violent it was actually comical after awhile, as mike puts it "everyone was pressurized in that movie" since whenever a limb was cut off, blood would shoot out like water from a fire hose. oo it was funny..some audience members were a little disgusted and/or shocked i think cuz there were silences sometimes when i was laughing. but those people are weak and scare too easily and should be avoided at all costs in case their oddness rubs off on us. the sword scenes were cool! especially this particular scene where Thurman slices a man cleanly in half - i mean from top to bottom and not through the torso. the second volume comes out next year Feb...well dammit.
this was right after she sliced off a guys head ;)

(*ooo these would make awesome display pictures or emoticons.. *)

on my wish list (but soon to be acquired):
the iRiver cd/mp3 player SlimX 550 . isnt it pretty? but dammit, that 179.99 is in US funds. ah well, still relatively cheap compared to sony products. I WANT. for those long treks to and from school, so i can listen to my angry music and ponder why im such an utter failure at everything as well as contemplate the gruesome death of some/certain people. i'll tell you they deserve what's coming to them.

have another (my last) midterm Tues. Micro Econ. oh bother..i've not studied for it yet, so it'll be another cram session tmr night. no surprises there. mmmmmmmmmm French Vanilla, YOURE MINE! muwhahaha...
it's worth 30% of my grade. hope i dont fail. stupidness, it's all equations this yr. the hell?? we never had to apply the equations we learn last yr, i like reading! blah, math and a plethora of equations to memorize. consumerism sux, why does it have to be so complex and full of equations??!

Then there's the COMM project that i have to worry about. sure there's 5 other people, sure they give us a whole sem to do it, sure it's "supposed" to be easy. yea. right. what a freakin' pain in the a$$. soo not worth the trouble and stupid, cheery prof-who-doesnt-object-to-anything-and-lets-that-ANNOYING-GIRL-speak-everytime doesnt tell us anything in terms of how to find the info or how accurate he wants it. so what. are we supposed to make up these facts?? or does he want us to actually go out and find and make accurate predictions about our business?? it'd be nice if we knew. but we dont. so HA! (<--i dunno)

i need to start:
1. archery - the club and the participating and the tournaments that id have to get to outside of Kingston
2. exercise - been very lazy. not in shape so wont perform as well in archery
3. bartending course - want to learn what the hell it is that i drink
4. redesigning my page - need to learn html codes so can make page pretty for myself to look at
5. sleeping more - and in order to do that, i need to start hw a lil earlier
6. PISSING OFF MORE PEOPLE THE WAY THEY DO TO ME

STUDY STUDY STUDY
note the time: 4:30AM
oooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
these are the fun times that we'll remember when we're old, cranky and senile. "why, when I was young lass, i never needed any sleep! you young-uns now-a-days require so much sleep. pfft..8hrs. how drole" (hmm went from irish to french..interesting. im sure "young-uns" was first established from some country as well)

had a BIG mugful of Timmy's french vanilla. on an empty stomache. oo works well. the rest of me is tired but not my eyes!!! hahaha. my brain is slowing down tho. drat..will need that in about 3.5 hours. why so soon you ask?? CUZ I HAVE AN 8.30 MIDTERM!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! (<-- that would be an INSANE, MANIC kinda laugh if you had any doubts). but who cares cuz its only 15% of my grade...so just like another project i screw up. eh, whatcha gonna do (TELL ME!! TELL ME.)?

posting when youre half awake, pumped full o'caffine and slightly psychotic, is FUN! i should do for my next two midterms. well, in that case, STAY TUNED

YOU ARE A WARRIOR ELF!

You're known as an elf who's not afraid to go to battle - you always have your bow beautifully polished and ready for action! Although you're the bravest elf out there, you tend to neglect your social life in favour of battle quests, so it might pay to find another hobby or two.

I am a warrior elf

(when i should have been studying. note the time. anyhoo, what kind of elf are YOU? haha ;)

good friends + hard liquor, what more do you need? Mike's bday party was a blast, he should really lay off on anything chili associated...poor mike.
Oh, and they cleaned up the house for the party!! It looked good, nicely done guys ::thumbs up:: They should have parties more often ;)

I have decided that i will invest in a bottle of Baileys..oh so good. that or we'll get each other a bottle for Xmas:

unicorn
You're like a Unicorn!

?? Which Mythical Creature Are You ??
brought to you by Quizilla

just like ive always imagined :D
so i got the extremes: completely harmless and the worst.

LOL this is funny. tho i knew i had violent tendencies, i nvr thought it'd amount to this
Anger
You are Wrath/Anger!
Wow... who got you so mad huh ?? You have serious
anger issues!! with a rage that seems somewhat
deadly, and a temper that is easily raised, you
are by far the scariest sin. You tend to let
the little things get to you, and are stressed
fairly easily - and woe be it to any of your
enemies. On the positive side, you're
independent, powerful and a definite leader, if
you could just control your moods!
Congratulations on being the toughest!! ...and the
most independent of all the 7 deadly sins!

?? Which Of The Seven Deadly Sins Are You ??
brought to you by Quizilla

then, took it again and got this too...well this got me thinking...
Envy
You are Envy!
Wow... what a dreamer. Always wanting what you
can't have, and always dreaming of having more
then you do. It's not the worst sin, and we're
all guilty of it - but you take it to the
extreme! You are prone to depression, often
from things you can't obtain. Be a bit more
positive, you have a lot that others want too -
so don't sit there being all green! On the
positive side, you tend to be a smart person -
and can often achieve the goals you set
yourself.
Congratulations on being the overall harmless, and
pretty normal one of the 7 deadly sins :)

Wheee shopping!!

The acquiring of random, materialistic things is FANTASTIC. I've forgotten how much i've missed it: walking (semi) aimlessly around the mall that is. What a great way to waste a couple of hours :D

yummmy, food so good. I like fish and i got fish - lots of fish. Also went food shopping-stuff to bring back to ktown.

i should do some HW. i should read some psyc, re-write some notes, and study for math (cuz damn midterm is this coming wed!)!! Blah. can you say: "yes, youre screwed. here's a shovel, start digging"

Monday, October 6, 2003

Food shopping during the night is so much fun. and thats when you run into the most people, or just queen's people. A&P sure knew what they were doing when they decided to go with the whole 24 hr thing. genius. shopping is fun, but food shopping is better...

French Vanilla
mmmmm soo good. my reasoning: i buy a thing of it practically everyday, so i bought a...jar? carton? plastic-tube-resealable-dealy of Nescafe. although it doesnt have the same initial sweetness as timmy's but the taste kinda grows on you and you dont feel like you have to brush your teeth afterwards. i actually like it..or mebbe i'll get timmys once in awhile now to satisfy my sweet tooth (though i have many, so that "once in awhile" thing will prolly end up as a frequent thing)

O i just realized i never typed up my homecoming experience. oh thatll take some time to summarize. perhaps tmr..oo need time
CRAP so much stuff to do
for tmr, wed, thurs and then im FREE!!! until wed and then i have midterm for Econ255 - the math for economists. the hell? i dont even know what ive learned in the last 4 weeks.

so. screwed.
School would rock if only it didn't have those stupid assignments/quizzes/midterms-that-come-too-soon/exams.

what a pain. i actually dont even mind the classes, a somewhat good way of meeting people you'll prolly never sit beside again, also, a time to catch up on some sleep - missed due to watching too much "tv" ie illegally d/l movies and such.

so much crap to do this week. and doing stuff for next week as well since i figure: if im going home that means im not going to do any work and that means i better finish what i can now so i can continue with the plan of not doing any work. ah logic.

ok, go check this out
it is so cute! well i mean in real life. the new dasani bottle is about half the size of the original one and it is EXACTLY the same size as this one (on the screen). i have no idea why i find it so amusing but it so is. although it is completely useless for every day use, it serves its purpose for those one or two classes that you want to keep yourself awake for - and then of course theres French Vanilla over at timmys if you REALLY want to stay awake. mmmmmmmmmmm soo good.

No sleep+no food+caffine

Just pulled my first all-nighter for the year. ah its gonna be a long year. this time, i didnt end up sleeping at all. worked till 8am and laid down for about 45 min b4 i had to get up and get ready. Having drank 2 mugs of tea and then a huge mugful of Timmy's French vanilla, i was HYPER. i couldnt sit still at all! class was so painful. as soon as i stopped writing, i'd fall asleep, but when im writing, i was so antsy. i NEEDED to get up and do something. it was like i had ADD or soemthing. so very odd..but i guess thats what you get for not sleeping for 33hrs. such an interesting side effect :) at least my assignment was finished ::yea::

Hooked on "24" - the TV show now on DVD which i got off aaron.
SO ADDICTIVE
ive watched 4 episodes already and im so hooked. so dead. cuz after this, i can watch the 2nd season and the 1st season of "six feet under". man im gonna be so busy!

thats it, me tired. mebbe should sleep

Hot and HUMID!!
Going back to TO for the weekend. Hurricane Isabel is suppose to hit, rather, it's supposed to be pouring cats and dogs right about now so hopefully by the time i get back, the rain would've ceased and i'll have a nice, sunny weekend to enjoy. But as of now, while it is windy, it's also extremely humid. ew feeling so sticky. i'd rather it rain.

bringing back obscene amounts of food. hopefully to learn how to cook in the process...which means bugging my housemates. aha. the art of mooching ;)

Oh feeling SICK
Had Bubba's fries w/ gravy. feeling SICK now..too much fat, salt, and fries.
Mebbe i need something sweet to balance it. Hmmm....

UP AND RUNNING!!

and finally decided to sit down and type a nice, LONG blog instead of running off to bother one of my FIVE housemates (or going off to annoy one of the FOUR guys), or plain bumming around.

So what's new? EVERYTHING

Finished with ACTION!! FOREVER!whoohoo!!!! no more window cleaning and putting up with sucky people (until next summer anyways). While i gained a lot of practical experience running my own business, this is not the business i want to be in. so that sucked. but it's ok cuz im done now!

Classes have started. I've already decided that I wont be attending one of my classes. stupid econ prof. so boring, monotonous, lame. What is the point of teaching us stuff we already learned last yr?? OR teaching us the most simpliest things from a chapter? are you STUPID? go over stuff we DONT understand. oh who cares, i'll just read the book and harass the TAs. Which leads me to stupid people: apparently, there still are some around. Not to say that Im oh-so-smart such that i can look down on people. no no, im an idiot and those that know me know that. im talking about those that should -be-shot type of stupid. asking questions when you should already know the answer to cuz you MUST HAVE taken the pre-requisite course and therefore SHOULD NOT be asking these questions and prolonging the length of class time. read your damn book from last yr for crying out loud! OR listening is good too. Asking the prof go over an example TWICE, having JUST explained it TWO SECONDS ago is reason enough that you should be hanged. once again, prolonging class time.

Blah
onwards to house stuff.

Have to look after myself now. Setting up net, phone, paying bills, harassing landlord for minor/misc fixups (he'll HATE us by the time we're thru with him :). So after 1.5 agonizing weeks of NO NET, we finally had it installed last fri. "And you didnt update your blog??!! How COULD YOU!" I know i know, I've been...preoccupied. Hehehe...

So I'm going to be accessible only by my cell phone from now on - after i get it changed to Ktown's area code so people calling me don't get billed for longD. I know they love me, but perhaps, not to the extent of paying longD to talk to me ;)

No more fattening rez food...actually, no food at all. The extent of my "cooking" involves hacking up hot dogs and throwing them into instant noodles. haha. That's ok, i'll be bringing back massive amounts of food when i go back this weekend: all either frozen, marinated, or perishable items that must be consumed immediately (mmm nutella)

Stupid landlord and his coin operated washing machine. WTH?? What makes you think we have coins lying around to do laundry?? If we had any, you can be sure we'd let the cafeteria gyp us instead by luring us to those vending machines. So anyways, we are currently trying to learn how to scam the landlord of laundry money. We've tried popsicle sticks but they didn't work so we're moving onto: fake money, coins on a string. The machine makes funny noises, something along the lines of crazy, monkey sex. Very squeaky, very disturbing.

Getting used to: my housemates (esp. the two living besides me) making random noises at odd hours of the day.

RANT
originally, i had more things to rant about, but well..two weeks w/o net so i've forgotten some stuff. Here goes,

I never really noticed it last yr when i was on campus..but man, it sucks being female. Here's why:
Walking home alone is not an option. The freaks come out at night and unless you with them, that club is pretty exclusive. As much as i appreciate my friends always walking me home, it sucks that i cant wander around freely at night...not unless you want some stranger coming up to you and offering you candy. It also doesn't help that the place i live has some pretty sketchy alleyways. There's actually a sign (or mebbe it was spray painted, cant member) that says "quiet entrance". How sketchy is THAT?? If it's a quiet entrance, then logically, it's also a quiet EXIT. "Hey buddy, ya so just take the dead dude out the quiet exit". yeaa....of course then there's also townies. *shudders* scary, freaky townies.
See, guys dont have this problem. You dont see them calling walk-home (or maybe theyre too proud), but the point is they dont need it. After walking me home, my friend (alone) can just walk home. At 3AM. and you know he'll get home perfectly safely..while females on the other hand..well, you just never read about guys getting "violated" by girls, and really now theyve got nothing to lose (at this point im just bitter so no, im not sexist).
and there's nothing i can do about it. not even the girls that "skankify" themselves deserve this inequality. so dammit, i'll have to keep relying on the good nature of my "boiz" to walk me home, and when they get good and fed up with me (for living so far away), i'll resort to the walk-home service.

SWAT rocked

Went to see it Tuesday cuz it's supposed to be cheap tues. ya right..ticket was $8.75!! the fuck? a lil less than Student price..what a ripoff..ah well anyways, well worth the ticket that movie was.
Colin Farell (im sure im spelling it wrong) is yummy ;) The guy is just funny - saw him on a couple of interviews and man, he swears like a pirate and cuz he's Irish he was talking SO fast. Not even on my good days can i speak THAT fast. In any case, so theres that..and then

THERE AREN'T ANY LOVE SCENES!!

the director is a genius..im so sick of those sex-scenes forced into every damn movie nowadays. almost a prerequisite, if you want an action movie, you can be sure the lead actor/ress would be making out. Good thing there wasn't any of that garbage in this movie. Really happy here.

And in more bug news:
A cricket got into the house the other day..i dont know how but it was a lil freaky. you hear them all the time inside, but walking into my living room...i thought "wow, thats sounds awfully close..TOO close". so we went hunting and found it behind the TV, nestled inbetween the wires. i was contemplating how to get it out of the house, and finally decided to use the handy-dandy vacuum cleaner (the hand held ones..mini vacuum - i duno). it got sucked up and i let it go outside in my backyard. but then it didn't move, so i stepped on it. it could very well have been dazed but well, too late now

was sitting in my basement watching TV and was just looking around during commercials; i looked over to my sister's desk and saw (what i thought was) an exoskeleton of a spider. i was like "oh thats pretty cool" and went over to get rid of it. IT MOVED. new species?? i have no idea or mebbe ive never paid attn to it cuz it blends in cuz it's grey and looks exactly like an exoskeleton. in any case..it was a lil scary/freaky. it'd've been fine if i KNEW that it was a bug and alive, but it wasnt. stupid disguise..dead now. blah

whoever thought to mate an ant with a fly should be shot and then hanged! well, im not sure if they were mated per se, but it seems like a science experiement gone wrong. it looks like an ant but it has wings. im not sure if it is new, it is an experiment or whatnot but it certainly is new to me! saw it for the first time near the beginning of summer and was like "what the hell??" And it's not like it's useful or anything either. least not that i can see..just flies around and is extremely bothersome.

On the UPSIDE:
Got my sunglasses!! whee! they look cool and i guessed correctly and actually chose the right picture (re: Aug 10)

Sleeping Beauty is FINALLY being re-released! so exciting/excited. Pre-ordered the DVD and got the lithograph. oo pretty and so happy :)

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is being remade. and the best part? JONNY DEPP is cast as Willy Wonka. how cool is that?! i can actually picture him in that role too; he's a fantastic actor, and a little eccentric(one has nothing to do with the other..or..maybe). if you havn't seen Pirates of the Caribbean: go see it, he plays the pirate :D

Going to see the broadway musical, The Lion King! The last show is sometime in Sept i think cuz Chicago is coming in. so that's something to look forward to. AND it's a night show so we get to dress up pretty ;)

Lastly but MOST importantly: I'M DONE WORK THURSDAY! Stupid work, i hate people. Hate being nice to them, people suck..yes, yes they do.

s'all for now, more later

Flipped to the Much Music channel (OH TV how i've missed you!)

EC IS BACK UP?! that probably means other clubs are up and running too. Lead by example my ass. what the hell happened to conserving energy??? oh i am going to start flushing my toilet at random! conserve water. phbbt. I think i'll water my grass too!
The longest blackout in North American history
proved to be:

BORING
Indeed had to resort to reading by candlelight cuz i was so damn bored and didn't want to sleep yet. HOLY COW it was boring. from 4pm until 11pm (the earliest i have EVER slept). I tried to amuse myself by pestering my sister, but that quickly tired itself out..plus she was freaking out over her piano exam so perhaps i was being unfair.

EXCITING
Went over to my aunt's place for dinner cuz she has a BBQ and we got hot water outta that..had instant noodles :) better than nothing and definately better than cold, canned soup.
Around the time when the sun was setting, people from all over the neighbourhood went outside for a stroll in the park. It looked so peaceful. Everyone was being so nice to each other in the streets..how odd is that?
For once I was able to see the stars when night finally set in. In the city! My sister and I found the Big Dipper..we were estatic. The sky was so bright! Whoever thought you'd be able to see the stars here?? and all you needed was a power outage :D

Pretty Damn Funny
Of course with the power being out, the traffic lights go with it: duh. Well, I find it hilarious that pedestrians are taking it upon themselves to direct traffic at various intersections. I mean, yes I'm grateful that there is some order being created by these self-appointed traffic guards, but then again...passing by i see that they're only teenagers, some in their 20's, some i think are actual crossing guards since they have the vest..but mostly, teenagers getting a kick out of a bad situation. Standing in the middle of an intersection and having all these cars obeying your every gesture: man, what a power trip that must be.

FRIGHTENING
For the sole reason that we do not know when the power will go out again, or since the news keeps saying that we're on a rotating power schedule...the power could go out at any given moment and once again, we duno when it's coming back on again.
Then of course theres:
Looters (surprisingly few downtown)
Me (or my sister), knocking down a candle and torching the house
PITCH BLACK DARKNESS (well duh) such that you cant see your hands RIGHT in front of your face. A little scary...just a smidgeon.
Pesky sounds of nature. Damn bugs/insects having a field day with their chirping and mating calls..how the hell is anyone suppose to get any sleep?!

Let's play THE WAITING GAME
cuz i am oh-SO-patient! i hate waiting...for anything. and now, i have to wait for my sunglasses cuz i had to get fancy and customize the colour of the frame and lenses. man im picky!it's my own fault and now i have to wait TEN DAYS for them...that means, the end of my 2 weeks vacation and i'll have them. thats just frickn fantastic.
once again, my own fault.

They look something like this (cuz well, with these pix they all look the same):

ooo pretty ;)

More Shopping Whoo!
Went downtown today to get my glasses fixed cuz my cousin sat on them and didn't even realize it. Partly my fault since i was the one who left them on the chair but then again, it's my room so I'll leave my glasses whereever i DARN WELL FEEL LIKE! eh, anyways, fix glasses and then, decided that I will get a pair of sunglasses when i wear contacts....but it hasnt happened yet.

Anyways, shopping is shopping so this isnt what the blog is about. The thing is, Ya i know everything can be faked in the market now-a-days...but man, i was amazed at how closely they make designer sunglasses now. Cuz after I went to my glasses "store" (for lack of a better word...hmm. boutique?), where they sell real designer glasses, I then went to Eaton Centre and stopped at those carts to look at sunglasses. They mimick the styles so well...Chanel, Armani, etc. Of course, they dont feel as nice when you wear them...indeed i thought they felt rather lopsided. but well, theyre only 15 bux (25 for two) each so what can you expect? The funny thing is, they havnt been able to copy Oakley. There were attemps but they dont look as convincing as the other designers. Honestly, Whats the point of getting real designer glasses when it looks JUST LIKE the pair you can get for 15 bux?? Actually, I'd think youd be pretty insane to pay $200+ when the knock-offs look that good...a different story if youre after the comfort cuz then there's no comparison. Oh, and durability. Stupidness...I bought a pair for 20 bux last yr...I forget what i did, i think i smacked into er..something and the lense chipped off. Not to mention the fact that the screws would come loose every once in awhile so they had to constantly be tightened or else..the lenses fell off. so after that lesson, forget it..i might as well invest in a real pair cuz if they keep breaking..in the end, it's the same price.

Random stupidness

AHH!!! MY ORLANDO PIX ARE BACK UP!

most excellent! scroll down to July 26 and watch them. that's an order!

Whoo-hoo!!
FREAKY FRIDAY
(with no relation to the movie)

Waking up today i thought it would be another ordinary day..how wrong i was:

Taking out a window at the clients house, we were faced with an ant colony that decided to build its home in the window-sill. EWW sooo creepy. There were ants all over the place and actually carrying larvae around..it looked like grains of rice until i smooshed it and found it squishy. so that had to be dealth with. SOOO yicky..felt them crawling up and down me afterwards, even though there really wasnt. im sure you know the feeling.

Then walking in front of my car, i noticed a DEAD BIRD stuck..erm wassit called? that part just above the bumper in the front of the car where the license plate usually hangs. A. DEAD. BIRD. WTF??? when did that get there?? my employee and i speculate that it must have flown in front of the car while i was driving and got caught, had it's neck snapped back and DIED. yet another EWW. not to mention the fact that I was the one who had to gather it and stuff it into a bag (of course, not before i poked, prodded and jabbed it to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that it was dead)

Well after all that, I was at home and was thinking to myself "hmm let's listen to some Backstreet boys and other such boy-band type music". though of course, i was too lazy to find the CDs and turn on the stereo, so i switched on the TV instead. LO and Behold: YTV's Hit List was counting down the Top 10 boy-band videos of all time..so pop music galore! whee! for an hour anyways. BSB was #1 of course (duh) but i was saddened at the video they chose to play. i mean "I want it that way" was hardly their best video. disappointed. "As long as you love me" was their best song and their best video...too bad, too bad. (hehe BSB fan? how'd you guess ;)

Ya thats it for FREAKY FRIDAY. There was A LOT of stuff that i wanted to bitch about but i cant remember any of it. AT ALL. hmm one thing must have pushed all the other things out and now im left with nothing. ah well. next time.

!A DEAD BIRD!

Dammit! stupidness my images of Orlando doesnt work anymore. blah

Johnny English SUCKED. Honestly with all these movies coming out taking cheap stabs at the Queen, I wonder why Her Majesty isn't more offended...but then again, what can she do about it. E.g. "Well now that i have her Majesty's permission"(Tomb Raider II) -gosh, how original a comeback.

Rowan Atkinson should stick to NOT speaking. Love his accent and all, but the movie was just absymal. not funny in ANY sense and the scenes and situations were just proposterous. Oh sure i suppose it could be argued that the outrageous situation that the movie is about is what makes it funny...but really..it's just the film companies running out of ideas. Would have possibly been better had they tried to make the dialogues wittier..but alas, we were deprived of that too. blah, it was boring and i ABSOLUTELY wanted to walk out and into another theatre quite possibly 1/4 of the way through.

Hmm, what else is new...

ah yes:
Two weeks off begining Aug 5! whoohoo!
then it's countdown of 11 more days of work before i go back to school; which i am TOTALLY looking forward to

Things to do during the off time:
go back to Kingston and measure my damn room!
find out about rental car prices to haul my crap in
find crap (ie furniture ) TO haul
GET MY G LICENSE before my license EXPIRES next yr!
go shopping some more ("cuz i am a material girl..")

Thanks Rob!

LOTR: the two towers
(sliding down the stairs ;)

Pirates of the Lost Caribbean (dueling with Johnny Depp ;)

OOOOOOOOOO, ORLANDO BLOOM. these are his BEST scenes I must say
an ACTION event

very fun. went to The Docks for the day starting at 4.30pm. $10 was supposed to be cover for dinner but well, it wasnt much of a dinner so much as a snack. honestly, platters of pizza and wings arent realy much of a dinner; however, the free drinks totally made up for it. oh and free entry into the club was pretty decent too.

so, the events during the day were pretty lame: vollyball tournament (ech, after elementary school...vball doesnt strike my fancy), relay races and rock climbing (which was ok). my fingers suffered from lactic acid build-up from wall climbing but well worth it.

dinner was disappointing - as was mentioned

free drinks started at 8pm. whoo hoo! the company gave us all casio-like chips to use at the bar. Smirnoff was promoting Smirnoff Black so everyone there got a free bottle as they were handing it out around the docks so that was Kick Ass. and not to promote them or anything cuz im not getting any commission, but Black tastes so much better. more fruitier a taste even tho its still lime-vodka cooler...weird

many drinks later, we hit the dance floor since the club starts getting packed at around 11. ooh fun times :D
ive reached the conclusion that in order to dance uninhibited, Wnd here needs two coolers and a drink before hitting the dance floor...of course, the disappointing thing is that the alcohol wears off in about/exactly 15 mins after consumption (hence my coherent blog). blast...good thing i got it for free tonight ;)

sleep now. review of Johnny English tmr (JUST stupid enough to be funny :)

Finally saw LXG today.

It was pretty good. i didnt even know Shane West was in it - that dude in A walk to Remember with Mandy Moore. He's not so bad..i think mandy brought him down (blah what an airhead "like totally")
and then there's Stuart Townsend (Queen of the Damned) *sigh*. He was cool..and immortal. Something so darkly alluring about immortals and vampires (hmm sadistic? why, not at all!)

oh and the effects they used for Dr Jekll / Hyde, i have no idea why they didnt use that technology for The Hulk. It was so believable and not at all cartoony like in The Hulk. impressive

Overall, the movie was quite good. I'd recommend it but not if there's something else better to take its place..say Tomb Raider. but that's just my opinion.

In other news:

New sandals, Yea! (dont worry, the euphoria will wear out soon enough)

Such a sad state...but i dunno how to fix it.

New~ Sandals! yea!
Spending money is fun (and fast)

When all hope was lost that I shall ever find a pair of sandals this season, I FOUND SANDALS. WHOOHOO!!! this is me very happy.

Let me regale you with the 'TALE OF THE ELUSIVE SANDALS'
So halfway through the summer, I finally realized that what i needed most was a pair of heeled sandals...and off i went on my quest. Finally having tracked down a decent, somewhat different looking, pair I was told that they were all out of sizes, my colour, and while every other pair was on sale-mine was not.
OK fine, check the other stores i asked them....no, none of the other FOUR Aldo stores had anything either! I pretty much drove across the city trying to find either: my style, size, and colour. Scarb Town Cntr, Fairview, Markville and Yorkdale (I had them call)

What are the chances of that happening???? (ya nvrmind that the store was doing a huge sale...whatever~)
I gave up

Eh, so i walked into Le Chateau thinking that MAYBE i'll find something there (almost a last resort). and indeed i did!! not too shabby looking but the style that every other girl would wear...ah who cares, it was 20 bux. they had my size, colour. So i asked the sales person to get the other shoe (left side) for me....and SHE CANT FIND THE OTHER SHOE

WTF???
I had the right shoe, no left shoe and everything else left was either HALF A SIZE to big or small. It's a sign, i was not meant to have sandals this seaon

....until today. Had to go up to the ACTION office to pick up stuff....went to a small plaza and FOUND MY SHOES.
stupidness
damn the big city and it's hoards of shoe-buying nuts

But, have scandals now and am VERY HAPPY. Yea me! (hmm..very Bridget Jones sounding)

Jonny Depp

Eh, just for the heck of it. He was hilarious..really good lines

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN

VERY cool movie.
It has awesome sword fighting scenes, cool looking ships, witty script, Jonny Dept, Geoffery Rush, ORLANDO BLOOM - what more do you need??

Honestly, I wasnt expecting much going into the theatre...Disney has never really turned out good movies that weren't animated. I was surprised, this movie had more humour and wit than a lot of the movies I've seen this year ~ bravo Disney, my respect for you has been restored (well, for the time being :)

mmmmmmmm Orlando Bloom mmmmmmmmmmmm, yummy

check out the movie's site, (http://pirates.movies.go.com) the behind the scenes footage is worth looking at, and yet another way to kill some time (cuz i have so much of it these days)

I'm sorry, I couldn't resist...well, yes i could've but i dont wanna. Enjoy!

SO, wonder if i should disclose who DIES....nah, or maybe...nah. you'll have to read about 500 pages b4 you get there tho so if you get tired along the way, come ask me for directions

CONCERT FOR TORONTO

Finally updating after a month of not doing so. I could ramble on about work but im not going to...instead, let's talk about the concert that I went to tonite at the Skydome and bitch about....the people

1) Well OK so it's not really their fault but I felt as if the ushers/security personel/staff were ALWAYS picking on us (Roberta, Yaser and Me) telling us to "keep moving; no standing in the/this aisle; you have to go back to your seats; I've told you twice already to move". Like seriously, WTF?! It's cuz we're oriental isnt it?? ISN'T IT!?! bastards didnt see them trying to move the big guys standing near the railing...that or everyone all together. Blah double standard. (and i SWEAR they were letting ppl into A section who didnt have the tickets, or mebbe Im just bitter)

2) The fucking blonde bitch who ratted us out to the usher! Damn Bi-atch. WTF was her problem?? So we had seats in section C, after standing up for the sets, we went to look for seats in section B that didn't look like they were EVER occupied. thats just obvious...anyways, damn her and her friends sitting in the row behind us. she came back with an usher and mumbled soemthing. moments later, he comes up to us "I need to check your tickets". We leave and see her high five her friends.

my problem is: WHAT THE FUCK DID WE DO TO YOU?? MIND YOUR OWN GODDAMN BUSINESS! (see at first when i passed by after the fact, i noticed that a mother and her daughter were sitting there so i was like..oh ok so i guess there WERE legit occupants, then later rob and yaser told me there never was. So prolly the mom and daughter were also seat hopping like us). FREAKN hell i was so ready to go tell her off too, if only id known earlier. Some people have problems, they need to control their own dam bitchiness and stop spreading it to others

3) Before the concert, EDGE 102.1FM was there and OLP was supposed to make an appearance at the booth for a live-to-air interview. so we're all standing there waiting. common sense, if you MOVE OUT OF THE LINE...youre OUT OF THE LINE and you forfeit your space. right?? thats what we thought anyways. so, this girl standing in front of me gets out, so i move in (duh), she has he friends save her a space..and im like ya ok fine if she comes back then she can stand next to me, behind...yada yada. she comes back, sorta nudges me aside and AFTERWARDS says "excuse me". IM KICKING MYSELF NOW wondering WHY IN HELL'S NAME I DIDNT SCREAM AT HER. excuse me?? youre supposed to say that BEFORE you try to nudge me aside. you can stand BEHIND me cuz you left. granted it was just a mob scene but still, if you move you lose. the fuck? should have said somthing instead of being the timid chinese girl that you can push around. bloody hell...

THE BIG ONE

we left the concert when THE TRAGICALLY HIP came on cuz well, we're not fans. deciding to stop by muchmusic to check out the set and to find my friend who works there, we stumble upon....*OLP's sound check*. oh ya baby! we were pysched. course we stayed, tried to snap a few pix with various staff members in the way. until finally, they were just talking to Bradford...interview i guess, not sure if it was taped to be played tmr night. anyways, these girls further away from us kept yelling out Raine's name and him being as nice as he is, finally went to them for autographs and pix. he was walking away until WE started calling his name, so he came too...except he went to these girls standing beside us first. with our camera's poised, we figured "eh, he'll come to us next so we'll not take a pic of him just as yet" FREAKN HELL! as soon as he was done with them he ran away!! ya OK i understand that cuz there are so many of us around he'll never finish with the fans (and new one's'll come in to fill the space). my distress lies in the fact that he WAS SO CLOSE!!! and i could have had an obstruction-free picture of him but i DIDNT SNAP ONE cuz i was deluded into thinking that "we'll be next and we'll then be in a pic WITH him". damn. GREED is what got us in this position. now I proly just have a pic of them with Bradford's backside taking up most of the picture. ah well. I woulda been happy had Raine NOT come to the audience at all....then it's like "wow, thats as close as we'll ever be" but no, we could have been SO MUCH CLOSER!!!! ah blastedness!

*He's pretty*
plus, they played a good set. and Avril following their act....was not a wise move. So, next OLP concert - we are there. and it's ground floor, section A or nothing. that's right, all or nothing...i really cant stand those security guards chasing us around again. thats enough outta that
~So cuz we were so close (but no cigar), we're not going to the red carpet tmr at the MMVA's. no. that'll just be depressing...so that's why people get so star crazy. youll never know unless youve been there. and sadly, we've been there.

Moving on to more positive things:

The concert was very good actually. Favs include OLP, Barenaked ladies (if only cuz they worked the crowd very well), Sarah Mcloughlin, Jane Arden. Those are the ones that stood out for me, Avril also stood out but only cuz we realized she cant sing. there was SO much echo, and a considerable amount of screeching on her part. no, cant say she has a very good singing voice, if there is one at all.

That's it for now...more.........whenever

STILL NOT UNPACKED!!!
well, least not fully...man my clothes are gonna be wrinkly. ah well, such is the life of a procrastinator

Back in SARSborough - eh, there's not as much paranoia as I thought there'd be, but I suppose people must carry on with their everyday lives. I wish I was still at Queen's; a more laid back atmosphere and an I-care-not attitude...ah well, until Sept comes (frosh week is gonna be a blast-no school for a whole week and bumming around, that's key)

Hmm...start work in 3 days. VERY scary, tho im sure i'll get into the hang of things so then it wont be as bad. I hired two of my friends so I think that's gonna be the crew for the summer. should be interesting, if not a completely fun- filled summer. Hectic now, very hectic.

*on a side note: gotta learn how to set up that "comments" link- but then, do I necessarily WANT to read your two cents? hehe j/k.
Oh speaking of 'two-cents':
"If someone gives you a penny for your thoughts, and you put your two cents in, where does the other penny go? Do you get change?"

Monday, April 21, 2003

am calmer than i should be considering the circumstances. just calculated that i only need 20% in the exam to pass the course; and if i pass the exam i get 65% in the course. sweet deal. though, am still going to DIE. DIE a PAINFUL death........3 excruciating hours to endure before i can go bubble tea-ing and veg for the night. Damn, so much to do and so little time to do it in....and still posting when should be STUDYING!

Self -control? self-discipline? What is this "will- power" you speak of?
I am INSANE. studying the bulk of the course material in 9 hours??!!? what was i thinking?! obviously wasn't. I'm on CRACK, no wait, i AM cRaCkEd.

My new ranting space...freshly created out of the boredom of studying for calculus. What i get up to when im bored or in the mood to procrastinate. so i have to question myself and wonder why I didnt just create a diary with microsoft word or plain pieces of paper. why instead i decided to post on the web and potentially have complete psychos stalk me armed with my inner most feelings taken from this blogsite (im sure thats not a word, not even for the internet). so, if a diary is supposed to be secret and hold your innermost thoughts, and now that im posting them on the WORLD WIDE WEB...does it defeat the purpose of the whole practice? do i hope that someone will read this? - actually ya, since i'll be sending this site to my friends and quite possibly my acquaintances so they can keep up-to-date in the current happenings of "Wnd World" (ha! alliterations. gotta love them). Hmm...do i hope theyll take sympathy or be empathetic towards me after reading my posts? i wonder what my ultimate goal is...stupid subconscious - gah. useless.
although, maybe this will help me write better...keeping an online diary/journal (the more "masculine term") will sort of force me to write with correct spelling? proper grammar? if i dont want to be ridiculed for not doing so...hmm. not sure yet. and then again, this may mean that I wont be able to write about EVERYTHING...since it will be read by others, tho that solely depends on who i send this site to. hmm decisions, decisions. blast.
none-the-less, it'll be a site to VENT and a fantastic way to procrastinate.

on that note, let's see what i've accomplished today:

what a surprise.
